UKG appoints Beth Conway Chief People Officer



UKG, an HR, payroll, and workforce management solution provider, announced Beth Conway’s appointment as Chief People Officer. She will report to the CEO Jennifer Morgan and join the company 24 March.

Conway will be responsible for overseeing key HR functions including talent acquisition and total rewards. She will also be in charge of employee relations, people operation, and the use of HCM technology by the company. She will support UKG’s global expansion and growth efforts by improving HR operations.

Jennifer Morgan said that Beth’s track record of aligning HR practices with business objectives, along with her experience in leading global teams to transformative growth, make her an excellent addition to UKG’s leadership team.

“Beth’s passion for the people will also help UKG achieve the next level, by ensuring that our human resources strategies and systems support both the needs of our employees and customers around the globe.”

Extensive HR Leadership Experience

Conway has more than 25 years’ experience in HR, with a focus on creating organisational cultures that are people-centric. She has been involved in HR technology initiatives and talent acquisition and retention strategy. She also advises on mergers and purchases. She has also worked on environmental, social, and governance initiatives as well as investor relations and shareholder relationships.

Conway stated, “This is a rare opportunity to lead a world-class HR organization at a company that provides world-class HCM and transformative workplace insight.” Conway said that UKG’s ambitious growth plans are attainable and their ability to scale rapidly depends on the way they develop, support, and empower their people.

“I feel a responsibility to ensure that our global talent strategy facilitates growth and creates an exceptional employee experience for all of our employees so they can, in turn deliver exceptional results for our 80,000 clients.”

Conway was most recently Executive Vice President and Chief Places & People Officer at AI leader Nuance Communications. She was a major player in the expansion of Nuance Communications before Microsoft acquired it for almost $20 billion. She led the global HR team at Nuance in 25 countries. She managed a cultural transformation and guided corporate social responsibility efforts.

Conway worked for 19 years as an enterprise software manager at CA Technologies before joining Nuance. She developed and implemented an enterprise management software firm’s talent strategy to match the right people with opportunities. She introduced a data driven approach to decision making through people analytics, and led a culture transformation focused on improving customer and employee experiences.

Conway’s experience at UKG will be used to develop HR strategies aligned with the company’s growth goals.
