One in four people think it’s a waste of money to hire those over 50

Age Without Limits, a UK-based advocacy group, found that not only a small number of people think that older people aren’t worth hiring. A full 24 percent of respondents believe this. In addition, 22 percent of respondents believe that training someone older than fifty is a waste of their time. And 32 percent think people get less proficient with technology as they grow older.

In addition, people with higher education levels were more likely than others to believe that older workers are not worth training. People who hold management positions tend to believe that training older workers is a waste.
