IKEA creates 150 jobs for its most innovative store in a city to date. It will open Spring 2025
The highly anticipated Oxford Street IKEA store has been inundated with 3,730 applications. The unprecedented interest in 150 positions available is the biggest response ever seen by the UK home furnishings retailer.
IKEA, building on its reputation as a top employer, has invested consistently in its coworker offer. It offers the Real Living Wage, which is set independently at PS13.85 an hour 1, along with comprehensive benefits, including flexible work arrangements and enhanced parental leave.
The successful applicants will receive multi-skilled positions, which may include working in different departments. No two days will ever be the same. The store is the most innovative IKEA yet. It combines traditional retail with digital solutions and sustainable practices.

The new coworkers will be joining an environment of collaboration and entrepreneurship, as IKEA is looking for creative and innovative problem-solvers.

The store will also offer free planning for kitchens and wardrobes.
