Instant Offices has released a new study that highlights the changing dynamics of the UK’s job market. The research examines factors like the number of searches, the average salary and the industry vacancies in order to identify the jobs that are most in demand.
We can predict the most popular jobs in 2025 based on online searches. The most popular positions on the list are physician associates. Physician associates diagnose and manage patient care alongside doctors. According to Glassdoor the average salary of a physician assistant in the UK is £44,000 in 2025.

The Best Jobs for Employment in 2025
According to the latest analysis of the job market, 2025 will be a great year for job seekers. The best balance of demand and supply is found in assistant psychologist positions, which had over 102,000 searches at the end 2024 and 143,000 vacancies.
Administrative assistants are a good option for people looking for stable employment, as they have 101,066 searches, but only 57,000 vacancies. Both marketing coordinators and cyber-security analysts are also prominent, with each having more than 100,000 searches. However, they have fewer vacancies of 37,000.

Jobs with the Worst Employment Prognosis in 2025
In 2025, teaching will be the most competitive career, with 1.76 million job searches and only 60,000 vacancies. This creates a huge supply-demand imbalance.
The competition for HGV drivers is also fierce, with 257,000 searches and only 38,000 vacancies. This results in a score of 3,56. The same is true for warehouse and car driving roles. Despite offering stable employment, they have each nearly 200,000 searches but only 38,000 positions, making them highly-competitive.
