JPMorgan has just decided that employee feedback doesn’t matter. It’s a Spectacularly Bad Decision

JPMorgan wants all employees back at work by March. More than half of the employees, including senior managers, have already been working in the office full-time. The announcement was not well received by many staff members, who complained internally.

JPMorgan has disabled comments.

It is the same kind of “because I told you so” response that parents eventually give to their children. Discussions are over. It’s decided.

You don’t need to listen to your employees

When you create policies, you don’t need to consider the opinions of your employees. Employees want free ice-cream, more vacation time, and remote work. It is your responsibility to make the best decisions for the company. Hopefully, the leadership team knows the business better than those on the ground.
