Sean Fletcher hosts Awards Event
The 2024 Inclusive Award, sponsored by TalkTalk, E.ON, and myGwork and organised by Inclusive Companies, announced the winners of this year’s eight categories in November 2024. The 2024 Inclusive Award, now in its 10 thyear, returned to Manchester. Coronation Street stars, diversity advocates, and other guests joined to recognize individuals and organizations who excelled in their commitment towards equality, diversity, and inclusion. The MDA-MYDC Dance academy and the Sing Out Gospel Choir provided entertainment to celebrate another successful year in bringing meaningful changes to workplaces and community.
The evening was hosted by Sean Fletcher, a journalist and TV host. Sean says, “Championing inclusiveness is a cause that I hold dear, because I would not be where I am now presenting on TV if it wasn’t for workplaces and employers who prioritized diversity in my career, and believed in me even when others said I didn’t suit the mould.” It was a great honour to return as host of the Inclusive Awards in 2018 and to play my part to promote inclusivity across businesses in the UK .”
A panel of independent judges, which included award-winning computer scientist Professor Sue Black and Conscious Inclusion specialist Jiten patel, judged the 2024 Inclusive Award. The panel aimed to go beyond policies and procedures to identify individuals and organisations that have demonstrated a commitment to achieving true diversity, inclusivity, equality, and equity at their workplace or in their community.
Eight winners were selected from a wide range of industries, from education and media to utilities and charities to training organizations and community groups. Susan Daniels OBE was also awarded the Lifetime Achiever Award, as Chief Executive of National Deaf Children’s Society.

Charity Partners
The Inclusive Awards supports a charity each year with the funds raised from ticket sales and donations made on the night. The Fire Fighters Charity is this year’s charity partner, selected in memory of Wayne Brown. Wayne Brown was a tireless advocate for diversity and inclusivity at West Midlands Fire Service.
Sherine Wheeler is the Chief Executive of Fire Fighters Charity. It was a pleasure to be with all the finalists, winners, and celebrate the best in British diversity, and honor the memory of WMFS Chief fire Officer, Wayne Brown.
Paul Sesay is the CEO of Inclusive Companies. He says, “Looking at the past 10 years, since the first Inclusive Awards, we have come a very long way with the policies and practices implemented to achieve equity, diversity, and inclusion.” “However we cannot be complacent, as there is more work to do to drive home the message of diversity and inclusion.” The Inclusive Awards, by showcasing the outstanding achievements of our winners and providing them with a platform to share their work and accomplishments, will hopefully inspire others to emulate these individuals and create lasting change .”
More awards for diversity and inclusiveness champions
The Inclusive Award also revealed the much anticipated Inclusive top 50 UK employers (IT50) list, with UK Power Networks at the top of the list. Touchstone in second place and What? in third. The IT50 is the definitive list of inclusive employers in the UK. It highlights best practices across all sectors, including age, disability and gender.
The 2024 Diversity Power List was also announced that night. It honours 50 champions for inclusion and diversity, who make a positive impact on others’ lives and create an impact in their industry sectors. They are also demonstrating outstanding dedication to their respective fields.
