A horrible thing happened at a Wells Fargo branch. Denise Prudhomme died, and no one noticed. The headlines emphasize that nobody noticed for four full days. Prudhomme’s death occurred at the end Friday of the workday, so it wasn’t until Monday that anyone noticed.
It’s still awful. Tragic. Traumatic.
This is not indicative of a poor culture. Nor does it call for a new HR policy, HR practice or HR training in order to prevent this happening again.
Wells Fargo, and you, should investigate the incident, and work with police, if a tragedy occurs at your workplace. This is not an indication of a poor workplace.
