Lyndsey Denning, Reconomy
Reconomy, a specialist in international economy, has named Lyndsey Dening its chief people officer.
Denning and her team will be focusing on improving Reconomy’s HR offering, developing the employee value proposition, and ensuring a consistent experience for employees across the organisation. She will be responsible for the centre of excellence which includes employee experience, data and HR systems, rewards and recognition, training and development, and internal communication. She will continue to promote diversity and inclusion, which are core to Reconomy values.
Denning began her career at Reconomy in Telford as a HR and Training Manager. She helped develop Reconomy’s people-first approach and contributed to its success.
Caroline Oxley Evolve
Caroline Oxley, the new head of talent and people at Evolve, a provider of managed network solutions and IT service providers has been appointed by Evolve.
Oxley will focus his efforts on enhancing Evolve’s culture to align it with the company’s overall goals and core values. The organisation will also implement its graduate and apprenticeship schemes and oversee employee engagement.
She comes from Property Hub where she was head of people and cultures for three years after working as an HR manager across various sectors. She has years of experience in strategic human resource management, employee relations and talent resourcing.
Rosamund King, Praxis
Rosamund King, the new chief people officer of UK-based real estate platform Praxis, has been appointed to help strengthen its leadership team and accelerate its growth. Praxis, which has more than 100 employees in three UK offices and a new chief people officer role, is aiming to grow.
King will be joining the board of directors, which is led by Mark Harrison, chief executive officer. She will be responsible for all human resources functions in the company and will implement a strategic framework to align with Praxis’ growth goals.
She has over 15 years experience in leading people agendas. King began her career in recruitment in the financial services sector and has held senior positions in banking, professional services and most recently First Bank.
Aileen Taylor (HSBC)
Aileen Taylor has been appointed as the group chief human resource and governance officer at HSBC.
Taylor has more than 20 year’s experience advising executives and boards on strategy, simplification and change. She has worked on talent acquisition, development, and succession planning for both executive and board level.
Elaine Arden will step down after seven years. Arden was instrumental in resetting HSBC’s values, purpose and strategy, as well as improving the group’s talent management and development capabilities. She also helped simplify and develop HSBC’s performance culture.
Holly Rankin is a member of the Yorkshire Building Society
The Yorkshire Building Society announced the appointment of Holly Rankin as its new chief human resources officer, effective December 1, subject to regulatory approval.
Rankin is a human resource professional with more than 28 years of experience, 16 of which were spent in the financial sector. She is an expert in shaping and leading people strategies, including culture change, succession planning, rewards and leadership capabilities.
She has held previous roles as HR director for community banks and wealth management at Lloyds Banking Group, and head of HR retail network at Santander UK.
She also serves as a board member for the Birmingham charity Smart Works. This organization helps women to gain the confidence needed to find employment and transform their lives.
Francesca Okosi, Macmillan Cancer Support
Francesca Okosi has been appointed as the chief people and culture officer at Macmillan Cancer Support.
Okosi’s role will be to sit in the executive team of Macmillan and use her experience and knowledge in leading positive cultural change in large organizations in order to shape and drive Macmillan’s people and culture strategy.
She was previously the chief people and culture officers at an Integrated Care Board. Okosi has held similar positions in other health organizations, such as the Nursing and Midwifery Council and the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Richa Gupta, CloudBees
CloudBees, a software development platform, has appointed Richa Gupta to the position of chief human resource officer.
Gupta’s key leadership role will be to support CloudBees in its global expansion and evolution into a strategic partner for enterprise transformation.
Gupta is a seasoned HR leader with more than 25-years of experience in leading global HR functions for businesses of all sizes and industries, whose annual revenue ranges from millions to billions. She has advised large public employers about their performance and led organisations during initial public offerings (IPO), managed change, and fostered organic growth in global expansions.
She has also driven growth by merging and acquiring businesses in order to enhance and blend teams during times when change is occurring. She has developed talent strategies to enable businesses to grow and evolve.
Nicole Whittaker, Peninsula UK
Nicole Whittaker has been promoted from head of HR policies and documentation to associate director for HR consulting. Whittaker, who has worked at Peninsula for more than a decade now, started as a graduate employment and HR law consultant before working her way to leading a team with over 50 advisors. She has experience in all aspects of HR and employment laws. Whittaker, in addition to her duties as associate director will represent Peninsula at media interviews about a variety of workplace issues.
Sian Keane is a Gymshark
Sian Keane has been appointed as chief people officer at Gymshark. The fitness community and apparel company. She joined Gymshark after 11 years with Farfetch. The last six were spent as chief people officer. She supported the growth of the company from 100 employees to over 7,000 worldwide, and integrated ten acquisitions. Sian had held a number of senior positions in the recruitment industry before that. Sian is a founder-led business expert as a non executive director of MPB and Advisor to Motorway.
Keane’s new role will see her responsible for the company’s people strategy. She will help transform Gymshark by focusing on attracting, developing, and retaining top talent as the company moves into the next phase of its growth.
David Barr, Robert Walters
Robert Walters, a recruitment agency, announced today that David Barr would be returning to Robert Walters in the role of Chief Operating Officer for Recruitment Outsourcing. He will oversee global business operations and growth. The appointment follows the recently launched Robert Walters Strategy and unification their three brands (Walters People, Resource Solutions and Robert Walters) into one brand.
Barr has more than 20 years of experience at Robert Walters. He spent his time working in the recruitment outsourcing and specialist professional recruitment service lines. He co-founded Resource Solutions Asia Pacific, where he spent eleven years building the portfolio of the region. He has been a senior executive at Korn-Ferry and Allegis in recent years. Barr will be in Singapore starting early 2025.
