Mike Jeffries, former Abercrombie CEO was arrested on October 22 for sex trafficking. Jeffries was the CEO of Abercrombie between 1992 and 2014.
Jeffries has stepped down as CEO of the company, but the allegations of bad behaviour still cover his tenure at the helm. The BBC conducted an investigation into Jeffries last year and found that “an organized group used a middleman in order to recruit young men for events with Mr. Jeffries, and his partner Matthew Smith.”
The article goes on to state that there is no evidence Abercrombie knew about these allegations.
No one in the office knew that Jeffries was holding these events. No one? No one? Or did they just turn a blind-eye? If the BBC did not find any evidence, I assume there was none. Abercrombie is not the first company to be in the headlines for bad behavior.
