Global or Bust: 97% of executives say a global presence is required to be competitive in today’s business landscape

G-P’s 2024 World at Work Report shows strong alignment between the business and talent perspective on global employment. This means there is no better time to create a global workforce.

REMOTE – 18th September 2024. G-P, the leader in global employment, announced today that over half (53%) of workers expect to be on the job market within the next six-months. A third of these workers plan to move to another country or state to further their career. G-P has released its second annual report on global trends in employment. The report highlights the importance of having a global presence for businesses and employees to thrive in this new age of work.

Companies that have a presence in several markets are not only more competitive today, but also better able to adapt and navigate the rapidly changing business environment. Executives around the world continue to struggle with talent shortages, and are under increasing pressure to adopt AI technologies.

“There has never been a more exciting time to create a global workforce,” said Nicole Sahin. G-P is at the forefront of AI and global employment, empowering companies to leverage the human potential of employees around the globe.

G-P’s “World at Work: the Future of Global Employment Report” shows that four out of five CEOs say it is hard to find skilled talent on their current markets. Most (72%) executives are willing to look outside their own country to find the talent they need. This is a wise move, considering that 80% of employees desire to work for global companies.

Half of executives believe AI is a viable solution for predicting challenges in new markets. Most employees (92%) also have high hopes for AI’s potential, although some (34%) may be hesitant about using it at work because they fear their manager will place less value on the work.
