Employers expect an increase in demand for gender-specific support.



A study released ahead of World Menopause Day (18th October) shows that one fifth (20%) of employers expect to see an increase in demand for support, especially for women going through menopause.

Towergate employee benefits released the research and is urging employers to take action to support women during menopause in the workplace.

Around six million UK workers are experiencing menopause. The symptoms can be anything from mood swings and anxiety to physical discomfort and insomnia. They can have a significant impact on both mental and physical wellbeing. Towergate’s study found that employers have begun to recognize the importance of this issue and are looking for ways to address the growing demand.

Raising awareness about menopause symptoms, and their possible effects, can help foster a supportive and understanding work environment.
