Redefining employee relationships for the future of Work (Webinar)

Friday 27 March 2025 at 2:00pm GMT

Employee relations must change as well. The core of employee relations is discipline and grievance, but the many interactions between employees and employers can help to prevent disputes from arising. This helps us retain and engage our talent.

In association with Civica and Personnel Today, this free webinar explores the ways in which HR and ER can transform themselves to meet the demands of the future workforce. We reimagined employee lifecycles in our previous session. Moving away from linear thinking, we created an infinite loop.

We have seen the evolution of HR, from personnel management to people-first approaches. Now we are seeing a similar evolution in employee relations. Staff is treated as individuals with specific needs and challenges.

Hayley Robinson Hayley is the head of UK People Operations for Civica. Howard Watson is Civica’s division director for workforce and people management.

We will also talk about the external forces that are shaping the future of the workplace, including the ageing of the workforce and the increasing costs of recruitment and retention. Organisations need to boost their employer brand and foster an environment of flexibility and trust in order to remain competitive.
