Three of our subject matter experts had the chance to look back at 2024, and consider trends and ideas for next year.
Martin Mason, CEO and Co-Founder of TalentMapper, Julian Hemming, Partner UK, Osborne Clarke, and Matt Norbury, CEO and Founder of Each Person, discussed the legal implications, as well as the challenges and opportunities, that AI and technology continue to present. The topic of health and wellbeing also came up, as the challenges from the past seem to be continuing into the future.
Panelists agreed that significant changes would continue in the coming year, both with HR technology and their role as a whole for businesses. Mental health issues will continue to be important and the solutions to them are not always simple or straightforward.
The HR team’s task is to determine the best way to deal with the challenges and obstacles that the current socioeconomic environment presents to employees and businesses. The use of technology and AI can be a great opportunity, but it must be carefully designed and implemented to avoid complications. While the Employment Rights Bill is a great opportunity for HR, it’s more important that HR be aware and track this bill than to immediately respond.
